Digitally Signed 7/12 Extract, 8A Utara and Form 6
Now Citizen can submit and use a digitally signed Form No. 7/12 (गा.न.नं. ७/१२) (7/12 extract), Form No. 8A (गा.न.नं. ८अ) and Form No. 6 (गा.न.नं. 6), obtained from the Maharashtra Government’s ‘Mahabhumi’ Portal (https://digitalsatbara.mahabhumi.gov.in). The 7/12 extract and other Forms downloaded from the said portal shall bear a unique QR Code and a 16 digit Verification Number.
The Government of Maharashtra, through the Department of Revenue and Forest, have issued a Government Circular bearing No. जमीन- 2020/प्र.क्र. 31/ज-1 अ (code no. 202011231322016519) dated 23/11/2020, wherein it has been decided and directed to all the Government officials and authorities that:
- The above stated Revenue Records (Form No. 7/12 (गा.न.नं. 7/12), Form No. 8A (गा.न.नं. ८अ) and Form No. 6 (गा.न.नं. 6), etc. downloaded from the Maharashtra Government’s ‘Mahabhumi’ Portal and bearing a unique QR Code and a 16 digit Verification Number shall be considered a Valid document for any legal and government and semi-government matters; (check the image below).
- The said digitally signed documents shall not be required to be signed by the Talathi or any Revenue Officer.
In conclusion, this has come as a great relief to the citizens as they will not have to visit Talathi or other offices for obtaining certified copies of the 7/12 extracts and other revenue records. These revenue records can now be easily downloaded from the Maharashtra Government’s ‘Mahabhumi’ Portal by payment of nominal fees (e.g. Rs. 15/- per 7/12 extract).
