e-Hakk- Online Legal Heir Entry for 7/12 extract, Mutation Entries, & 8A Property extract
Now the people in Maharashtra can submit applications for recording their names as legal heirs of a deceased in the revenue records such as 7/12 extract, Mutation Entries, and 8A Property extract. The Revenue Department has initiated this online facility to the citizens from 24th May 2021 under the name – ‘Inheritance and Complaint Form Online Facility from Revenue Department’. This facility will also be known as ‘e-Hakk’ ‘इ-हक्क’.
Important Points
New Services made available online –
Following are the list of services that can be now availed online by the citizens:
- Recording of names of Legal Heirs of a deceased;
- Complaint against any entries in revenue record;
- Deleting or Entering Loan remarks in revenue record;
- Deleting or Entering remarks as to Guardianship of a minor;
- Deleting ‘Joint Family Manager’ remarks from revenue record;
- Changes in the name in the revenue record, as per Gazette, etc.
For availing above services, the citizens will not be required to physically visit the Talathi Office. The citizens can visit the Maharashtra Government’s ‘Mahabhumi’ Portal or this link – https://pdeigr.maharashtra.gov.in/ to avail any of the above-mentioned services. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Revenue Department of the Maharashtra Government has been striving for providing online facilities to its citizens so that they will not be required to physically visit government offices such as Talathi Offices.
What is the process?
On the death of a person, his/her legal heirs or any concerned person may visit Maharashtra Government’s ‘Mahabhumi’ Portal or this link – https://pdeigr.maharashtra.gov.in/ and create an account and login to the said account. Thereafter, an online Application can be filled for any of the above-mentioned services. The said Application will be directed to the respective Talathi and once the said Application is received by the respective Talathi, he will take up the said Application for verification and scrutiny.
Farmers will be relieved.
Earlier, the Loan entries would remain unchanged even if a Farmer has repaid the entire loan to the concerned Bank. Since the farmers would find the physical visit to the Bank and making an application for the removal of loan entry troublesome and hectic. Now, all the Banks can also avail the ‘e-Hakk’ ‘इ-हक्क’ facility and submit online applications for adding and deleting loan entries in the revenue records of their customers.
Advantages to the Citizens-
Following are the advantages of the new facility:
- Physical handwritten record books for Recording Names of legal Heirs and Complaints will be discontinued;
- Citizens will not be required to visit the Talathi office for the said works;
- An applicant has to visit the Talathi office only once for a recording of the Statement;
- Due to the Online facility, citizens can now know the pendency at the Talathi level.
- In case all the requisite documents are annexed along with the online application, the names of the legal heirs will be recorded within 15 days;
- In the next 15 days, the respective Mutation Entry will be recorded.
Conclusion-
Due to the current need for ‘Social Distancing’ for minimizing the spread of Covid-19, citizens are expecting more and more online facilities from the Government. The Government of Maharashtra is also doing its best to provide online services to its citizens, wherever possible. This is one such initiatives from the Revenue Department of the Maharashtra Government.
