What is the Lease Deed?
By Lease Deed, the Lessor (owner of immovable property) transfers his/her rights of the property to the Lessee (person who receives the rights) for a certain duration.
Lessor, lessee, premium, and rent –
The transferor is called the lessor, the transferee is called the lessee, the price is called the premium, and the money, share, service or other things to be so rendered is called the rent.
What could be the Duration of Lease Deed?
The duration can be up to 99 Years.
What is the Stamp Duty for Lease Deed in Pune?
Stamp Duty depends on the Duration and the Government Value of the Property. Lesser the duration lesser the percentage of the market value of the property taken into consideration. Eg. If the Lease duration is up to 5 years then Stamp Duty will be applicable on the 10% of the Government Value of the Property.
For Corporation Areas: Stamp Duty is 5% on the Considered Price of the Property.
For Rural Areas: Stamp Duty is 4% on the Considered Price of the Property.
